Hello! We are the Hindochas.
And we are embarking upon an adventure for a year (starting on 26 July 2025), which will take us to many incredible places to cross paths with brilliant people doing inspiring and important things. This website is our space to capture and reflect upon our experiences (and share them with anyone who is interested!).
We are a family of four, based in London, England (usually). Here is a little bit about each of us:
Anaya is the youngest in our family. She enjoys reading, playing games, art, writing stories, poetry, playing keyboard and gymnastics. Her favourite board game is The Settlers of Catan. Her best yoga pose is The Candle. And the thing she is most excited about in the year ahead is looking after the elephants in Namibia.
Sia is the cool big sister. She loves playing all kinds of games, reading, being creative and spending time with her friends and family. She started a small bakery business in Covid (called Brilliant Goodies) which raised money for railway children in India. Her favourite word is “Brobdingnagian”. Her favourite books are Harry Potter 7; and The Ghost the Girl and the Lost Name. Sia is most looking forward to working with the vets to rehabilitate monkeys in Zimbabwe.
Divya (aka Div, mum) has a wide range of hobbies including bouldering, Bollywood, climbing trees, yoga, spending time with friends and family and great food. She is obsessed with spotting the moon and chasing rainbows. She has had a few different jobs since finishing her degree in Psychology - working for the NHS, qualifying as a teacher and then specialising in Early Years - before she became a children’s yoga teacher. The project she is most excited about in the year ahead is volunteering in the women’s empowerment initiative in Tanzania.
Vishal (aka Vish, dad/papa) loves games, running, reading, meditation, investing and teaching. He thrives when learning from lots of people (but his true happy place is spending over an hour in the bath!). Vish studied Economics at university, was a consultant for nearly 10 years and then moved into an investment management role at MFS, where he has worked since 2016. He is the luckiest person you are likely to meet - and is grateful to have the opportunity to live out what started as a pipe dream many years ago. If he had to pick just one, the reforestation project with the Climate Force team in Queensland, Australia is the project he is the most excited about being able to participate in this year.
